HEMET (CNS) - A 39-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured in a
crash on Highway 74 between Hemet and Mountain Center, authorities said today.Erik Mortensen of Idyllwild suffered grave injuries about 6:40 p.m.
Monday when he crashed on the eastbound side of the two-lane corridor in an
area known as Bee Canyon, according to the California Highway Patrol.Officer Jeffrey Osteen told City News Service that Mortensen was
riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson when he went down for reasons still under
investigation.No other vehicles were involved.Witnesses called 911 after the crash, and Riverside County Fire
Department paramedics reached the location a short time later.The victim was taken to Hemet Global Medical Center, where he died
about 7:45 p.m. Monday, according to the
