CBP offers helpful tips amid summer travel season

DETROIT – U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations expects heavier than usual border traffic amid the summer season due to eased travel restrictions and offers some helpful tips for those entering the United States by air, land or sea.For the summer travel season, ensure travel documents are up to date and readily available. Current documentary requirements for U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and international visitors can be found at https://www.cbp.gov/travel?language_content_entity=en.International visitors arriving from a foreign country by air, land port of entry or ferry terminal will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This requirement does not apply to U.S. citizens or U.S. lawful permanent residents.
