
California released their most recent drought update Monday, Aug. 1, confirming that California has entered “the dry summer months with below-average reservoir storage and with the state’s largest reservoir, Shasta Lake, at critically low levels.”These intensely hot conditions were expected to continue through November and will result in a late start to water year 2023, and the extension of fire season.
