Assemblymember Seyarto’s bill to connect California’s veterans with their benefits signed into law

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Kelly Seyarto, R-Murrieta, announced that the governor has signed his legislation to create a more streamlined way for veterans to connect with CalVet and increase their access to information about available services and benefits.Assembly Bill 1633 creates a pathway for the University of California and California State University systems to share the contact information of student veterans using GI benefits, with the student’s permission, with the California Veterans Administration.“One of the primary reasons veterans struggle when coming back to our communities is simply the lack of connection to many of the resources offered,” said Seyarto. “Unfortunately, CalVet does not have accurate, up-to-date information sources and relies on veterans th
