October 7, 2022 – At approximately 2:55 AM, our communications center received a call for service regarding a suicide in the 28200 block of Serenity Falls Way in Menifee. The Reporting Party stated the injured person, an adult male, needed medical attention.
Officers and Cal Fire quickly arrived on the scene to render aid to the injured male. The injured male had significant trauma to his upper body, inconsistent with a suicide. Lifesaving efforts were not successful, and the injured male was pronounced deceased on scene. Our Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded and have begun gathering information and evidence.
The preliminary investigation revealed this was an isolated incident and all parties knew each other.
There is no danger to the community. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be made available as it develops.
