Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District to dedicate wall for fallen first responders

HEMET – The Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District Board of Directors commissioned the construction of the “Officer Lesley Zerebny First Responders Memorial” at Diamond Valley Lake Community Park in honor and memory of the Hemet native who tragically lost her life in the line of duty while serving as a Palm Springs police officer Oct. 8, 2016.The wall will commemorate fallen first responders who lived, served, or were born in the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District service area.The dedication ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the park, located at 1806 Angler Avenue, in Hemet.
