RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 29-year-old man accused of gunning down his father
during an altercation at the victim's Eastvale home was charged today with
murder and other offenses.Kelvin Jackett Jr. of Eastvale was arrested Friday following a
Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigation into the slaying of 51-year-
old Kelvin Jackett Sr.Along with murder, the defendant is charged with sentence-enhancing
gun and great bodily injury allegations.He had been slated to make his initial court appearance Wednesday at
the Riverside Hall of Justice, but wasn't transported to the courthouse,
possibly because he remains under medial supervision in the infirmary of the
