IDYLLWILD – As summer weather gives way to cooler temperatures, the winter schedule will soon be in effect for the Idyllwild Grinding Facility. Effective Dec. 1, 2022, the facility will be open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed from noon to 1 p.m.The facility is located at the 5,000-foot marker, one mile south of the Idyllwild transfer station on Highway 243. The site accepts wood waste affected by the bark beetle. Prohibited waste includes household waste, appliances, e-waste, metals, tires, burned debris and other hazardous waste, explosive and medical wastes.
