The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District approved a cooperative agreement with the City of Menifee to design and develop a segment of Salt Creek Trail.The Riverside County Board of Supervisors members are also the board of the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District, and the county supervisors voted 5-0 November 29 to approve the agreement which outlines the responsibilities of the district and the city. The agreement includes a $100,000 contribution by the park district.Salt Creek Trail covers 16 miles and is a multi-purpose regional trail. A Class I bicycle path (separate from any areas accessible to motor vehicles) is part of the trail.
