The Temecula FC Quails, the valley’s premier professional soccer team, closed out the year on a great note. Temecula FC won four matches in a row scoring 17 goals and only conceding 4. After a come-from-behind 3-2 victory, top group C in the Raul Briones Cup, the Quails earned three more points in its victory at Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park in their final match of 2022.

“In football, the better team doesn’t always win,” head coach Ignacio Gachuzo said. “The first half score proved that, but in the end the team showed their grit and did everything they had to do to take the three points and finish top of the group.”
