Historically, in our quiet suburban neighborhoods, the summer season would arrive and people would prepare for outdoor barbecues, swimming, fishing and laughter. Children would take advantage of more freedom to enjoy outdoor adventures in the neighborhood and beyond, especially locally, where we have rivers, ponds, groves, etc..
