Supervisors approve French Valley rezone

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a rezone for a 4.88-acre French Valley parcel.The supervisors voted 5-0 Tuesday, May 23, to change the zoning of the land from Industrial Park to Manufacturing-Service Commercial. The board action found that the rezone itself, which does not change the property’s Business Park land use designation, is categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review.The parcel is in the 36600 block of Penfield Lane approximately 660 feet west of Leon Road and approximately 1,600 feet east of Briggs Road. The site includes an industrial building which was constructed in 2008 and 2009 and has been used since then.
