The County of Riverside has approved a new agreement with the Lake Elsinore Unified School District to provide law enforcement services.The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 June 13, with Karen Spiegel and Manual Perez absent, to approve a one-year agreement for law enforcement services. The county’s Sheriff’s Department will provide six school resource officers and the school district will reimburse the county for the cost of the law enforcement services. The $1,171,000 cost is based on projected service hours and mileage during Fiscal Year 2023-2024 and anticipated contract rate adjustments.
