LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday, July 17, in a collision
with a pickup truck in Lake Elsinore.
The fatality occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Grand Avenue, near Macy
Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department and California
Highway Patrol.
The pickup truck and motorcycle collided in front of a business, the
CHP reported. No other details were immediately available.
Paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and pronounced the
rider, whose name was not disclosed, dead at the scene.
The pickup driver was not hurt.
Sheriff’s deputies shut down Grand Avenue in both directions where the
collision occurred for a preliminary investigation and to clear the wreckage.
The closure was expected to be lifted by nightfall.
