RIVERSIDE COUNTY – Anyone interested in running for offices on the Tuesday, Nov. 7, general election ballot may take out candidate filing papers beginning Monday, July 17. Papers must be filed by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11. If an incumbent fails to file, the deadline for that office will be extended to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, for everyone except the incumbent.The following special districts have open seats: De Luz Community Services District, Cabazon Water District, Chiriaco Summit Water District and Pinyon Pines County Water District.The Registrar of Voters’ staff is available to help prospective candidates complete the necessary paperwork and to answer questions.
