Pair Allegedly Hauling Drugs Engage in Standoff with Deputies near Elsinore
LAKE ELSINOREÂ - A man and woman suspected of dealing drugs and threatening good Samaritans on a road west of Lake Elsinore, then engaging in a standoff with sheriff's deputies, were behind bars today.
Kevin David Hofseth, 37, of Escondido, and Lindsay Christine Salomone, 35, of San Diego, were arrested Monday on suspicion of transportation of controlled substances for sale, obstruction of peace officers and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hofseth was additionally arrested on allegations of firearm assault and brandishing a gun not in self-defense.
He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail at the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta, while Salomone was being held on the same amount at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside.
