San Diego Jeep Club four-wheeling enthusiasts were treated to a day of perfect temperatures and clear skies as they made their way up the 6S13 Thomas Mountain trail, a 16-mile route with scenic views of Garner Valley, Anza Valley, the San Jacinto Mountains and Cahuilla Mountain. The trail featured various types of sand, rocks and a few rutted out areas from the recent storms. A lunch break was held at the Yellow Post campground near the top of the mountain, where members handed in their Toys for Tots donations to trail leader, organizer and club board member Samantha Spenny.There were 60 Jeeps in attendance, from a 44-year-old CJ5 all the way up to brand new Jeeps, and experience levels throughout the spectrum, from inexperienced to veteran off-roaders.The large gathering was split
