James Caldwell, formerly of Temecula, passed away peacefully in Solvang, California on Oct. 31, 2023. Jim was born in Peoria, Illinois, in 1935 and was the youngest of six children.He lost his father when he was 10 years old and started working soon thereafter to help support his mother and siblings. His family moved often causing Jim to switch schools often.Jim earned a bachelor's and master’s degree in education from Illinois State University and San Jose State University, respectively. He started his teaching career in Santa Paula, California and finished with the Lake Elsinore School District.Between his time teaching, Jim served as a principal at several schools.
