City of Menifee to host first Adaptive Sports Fair for all ages and abilities

Numerous sports will be available and tailored to accommodate any ability, ensuring that everyone in attendance can have a chance to participate, learn, and have fun.

MENIFEE – Join us for a day of fun, sports, and inclusion! The City of Menifee will be hosting its first Adaptive Sports Fair on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Spirit Park (25507 Normandy Rd.). The event is hosted in partnership with numerous community organizations to provide resources and access to various sports and activities with an adaptive twist.

Available sports offered will include pickleball, tennis, basketball, bocce ball, boccia ball, soccer, Taekwondo, Olympics, disc golf, golf, and track and field. Attendees can watch or participate in demonstrations that are tailored to accommodate any ability, ensuring everyone can be safe while having fun. Food vendors will be onsite, as well as information booths to provide local resources and services.

“Menifee has many great local parks for friends and families to get out and play sports together,” said Mayor Bill Zimmerman. “Menifee’s first Adaptive Sports Fair will allow attendees to learn a new sport in a fun environment designed for all ages and abilities.”

Partnering organizations include the Menifee Valley Taekwondo Academy, SoCal Adaptive Sports, Menifee Mustangs Track & Field, Special Olympics Southern California – Mighty Menifee, Innova Disc Golf, and USTA Southern California.
