Menifee teacher arrested for possession of child pornography

MENIFEE, Calif. — A Menifee Union School District music teacher was arrested Tuesday on charges of child pornography possession, according to the Menifee Police Department.

Tristan Dario Perez, 28, who has taught at Chester W. Morrison, Freedom Crest, and Oak Meadows elementary schools, was taken into custody on Jan. 30. Josue Reyna, a spokesperson for the school district, confirmed that Perez, who has been with the district for less than six months, has been placed on paid administrative leave following the arrest.

The police have indicated there’s no evidence to suggest that any students or community members have fallen victim to Perez’s alleged activities. After his arrest, Perez was able to post a $10,000 bail and was released from custody.
