A Flood Watch is in effect from late Friday night through Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Diego.- A strong Pacific storm will bring moderate to heavy rain Saturday, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.
Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
NWS warns to be on the alert in the mountains for rockslides and rocks in the road,.flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
The flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Areas affected include a portion of Southwest California, including the following
areas: Riverside County Mountains, San Bernardino County Mountains, San

A Wind Advisory has been issued for 6 AM to noon Saturday in San Diego County Coastal Areas-San Diego County Valleys -Including the cities of Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Chula Vista, National City, San Diego, Escondido, El Cajon, San Marcos, La Mesa, Santee, and Poway.
South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph expected in San Diego County Coastal Areas and San Diego County Valleys from 6 AM to noon PDT Saturday.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs and palm fronds could be blown down.
The strongest winds will be near the coast.
