Suspected Mc Call overcrossing ‘jumper’ identified

UPDATE: The woman who was reported to have jumped from the McCall Boulevard overcrossing was identified by the Riverside Coroner’s office as Dawn Redman, 53, from Murrieta, Ca. It isn’t known publicly what caused Redman to possibly take her own life.

CHP investigating possible suicide ‘jumper’ on I-215

Menifee, Calif. – On Saturday, April 20, 2024, at approximately 1:48 p.m., the California
Highway Patrol (CHP) received 911 phone calls advising CHP Dispatchers that a pedestrian had intentionally jumped off the McCall Boulevard overcrossing onto the southbound I-215. CHP responded to the scene along with the Menifee Police Department. Officers located a female adult deceased in the # 1 lane of southbound I-215.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the adult female had jumped off the McCall Boulevard overcrossing onto a white Hyundai Accent, which was driven by a 45-year-old female from Temecula, CA, and was traveling in the # 1 lane at approximately 80 mph.
The female adult pedestrian was thrown from the top of the white Hyundai Accent and was
struck by a grey Lexus RX 500, which was being driven by a 53-year-old male from Winchester CA, and was traveling directly behind the white Hyundai Accent in the # 1 lane at approximately 55-60 mph.
The female pedestrian came to rest in the # 1 lane. The female pedestrian suffered fatal injuries.

The female driver of the white Hyundai Accent suffered minor injuries. The male driver of the grey Lexus RX500 was uninjured. The CHP closed the # 1 and # 2 lanes down for the
investigation. A SIG Alert was issued. The CHP, Temecula Area is conducting this
investigation.
