The city of Temecula will celebrate freedom and perseverance at its annual Juneteenth Celebration Concert, one of the city’s signature events, hosted by the Community Services Department at the Temecula Amphitheater located at the Community Recreation Center, 30875 Rancho Vista Road.Scheduled for Saturday, June 8, from 5-7 p.m., the event will commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States when some 250,000 African Americans in west Texas were finally freed by executive decree that was delivered by Union Gen.
