Dear Residents of District 5,
In the spirit of National Safety Month, I wanted to share some important safety reminders to help keep you and your loved ones protected. While we kick back and have fun during the summer, let’s not forget to prioritize safety!
First, water safety is a top priority. Please remember to keep an eye on your children when you go to a pool, lake, or even a tub. Drowning can happen quickly and silently, so make sure to watch your children and help them where needed. Remember, you can prevent drowning.
Second, please take measures to prevent sunburns, skin damage, and mitigate the risk of skin cancer. That means bringing and frequently applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to your summer activities. In addition, make sure to seek shade
