Players, siblings, parents and coaches hosted a car wash to benefit the local American Youth Soccer Organization 1641 teams Saturday, July 27 in the Dairy Queen parking lot in Anza.The participants earned donations while making dozens of Anza cars and trucks shiny and clean.Brooke Blackmore, Elizabeth Greene and other parents scrubbed cars and directed the eager youngsters in proper car wash techniques."The money we raise goes to soccer scholarships," said organizer Greene. "Thank you to everyone that came to our car wash fundraiser and to those that dropped off donations.
