A traffic collision on State Route 74 (SR-74) near Ortega Highway and Tenaja Truck Trail resulted in minor injuries Thursday afternoon.
One person was reported to be lying in one of the lanes.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the incident, which was initially reported as a major collision but later downgraded to a minor injury accident. The collision involved a black Land Rover and a white Honda Civic, which collided head-on around 3:55 p.m.
Emergency services dispatched air support to the scene, but the situation was later resolved without requiring helicopter transport. The crash led to two vehicles needing to be towed from the scene.
According to CHP, three patients were treated at the scene, but no serious injuries were reported. The westbound lanes of SR-74 were temporarily closed while authorities cleared the wreckage and conducted their investigation. All lanes have since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
