The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding an alleged arson event Sunday, August 18 at 2:32 p.m. in the area of Harvey Hills Rd.. It was determined that a small brush fire had ignited near Bautista and Mitchell Roads in Anza moments before the call.Deputies in the area assisted Riverside County Fire Department crews with the fire, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sergeant Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez.Dubbed the Willis Fire, the blaze consumed about a quarter of an acre before being doused by firefighters. The vegetation fire was burning in medium fuels with a moderate rate of spread, per units on scene.
