Menifee lane closures and Construction Updates

MENIFEE, CA – The City of Menifee has provided updates on several ongoing and upcoming construction projects. Residents can stay informed about street projects and road closures by visiting the interactive mobile and web map at www.cityofmenifee.us/traffic.

Holland Road Overpass – City Capital Improvement Project

Work on the Holland Road Overpass project is ongoing, and the section of Holland Road between Hanover Lane and Antelope Road will remain closed until the project’s expected completion later this year. Daytime asphalt paving on Holland Road between Haun Road and Hanover Lane will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Saturday, September 21, through Wednesday, September 25. Additionally, there will be alternating lane closures on the I-215 Freeway between Scott Road and Newport Road during the week of Monday, September 23. The closure schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, September 23 – Thursday, September 26
    • Northbound I-215: 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
    • Southbound I-215: 8 p.m. – 4 a.m.

Menifee Road from North of Aldergate Drive to McCall Boulevard – Road Improvements

The City will begin road improvements on Menifee Road, north of Aldergate Drive to McCall Boulevard. Traffic control measures will be in place, and delays are expected during construction, which is anticipated to be completed by mid-November.

Antelope Road from Ethanac to McLaughlin Roads – Nova Battery Project

Antelope Road will be closed between Ethanac and McLaughlin Roads for the Nova Battery Project. Detours and traffic control will be in place, with delays expected. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-October.

Briggs Road from Tres Lagos Drive to Newport Road – Roadway Construction

Lennar Development is continuing roadway construction on Briggs Road, which will remain closed from Tres Lagos Drive to Newport Road. Detours and traffic control will be implemented, and delays should be anticipated during construction.

Holland Road and Hanover Lane – Street Improvements by Del Oro Apartments

The Del Oro Apartments project involves street improvements on Holland Road and Hanover Lane. Traffic control and lane closures will be in place, and motorists should expect delays. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.

Holland Road/Haun Road – Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) Water Improvements

EMWD is continuing water improvement work on Holland and Haun Roads, which will require the closure of Paloma Wash Trail on the west side between Holland Road and La Piedra Road. Traffic control will be in place, and delays are expected. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of September.

Bradley Road – Richmond American Underground Utilities

Richmond American is continuing the installation of underground utilities on Bradley Road. Lane closures will remain in effect, and flaggers will be present as needed. The work will continue intermittently through November 2024.

Scott Road – Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) Gap Transmission Pipeline Project

EMWD is conducting potholing for the Scott Road Gap Transmission Pipeline Project, which is expected to continue until June 2025. Traffic control will be in place intermittently, with delays expected during construction.

Goetz Road and Thornton Avenue – Cimarron Ridge Development Project

Construction is ongoing on Goetz Road, north of Thornton Avenue, as part of the Cimarron Ridge Development Project. Motorists should expect traffic control and possible delays. Goetz Road from north of Thornton Avenue to Goldenrod Avenue will remain closed until construction is completed.

Ridgemoor Road – Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) Pipeline Project

EMWD is working on a pipeline on Ridgemoor Road, west of Valley Boulevard. The project will be ongoing for the next several months. Motorists should expect delays and temporary traffic control.

Potomac Neighborhood – Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) Water Main Replacement

EMWD is replacing water mains on various streets in the Potomac Drive neighborhood. Traffic control will be in place with flaggers present. Detour signs will be posted during road closures throughout the day.
