2024 David Goldware Friend of the Veteran Award Nominations
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - The Riverside County Veterans’ Advisory Committee is seeking nominations for the 2024 David Goldware Friend of the Veteran Award. The awardees are selected annually by the Riverside County Veterans’ Advisory Committee and presented by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.Mr. David Goldware, a native of Omaha, Nebraska was a decorated United States Navy World War II veteran who served from 1942-1946. Lieutenant Goldware was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for saving the life of a fellow crewman aboard the USS Tasker H. Bliss during a torpedo attack off the coast of Morocco in September 1942.
