EVMWD approves water reuse grant application to help fund lift station and sewer conversion projects

The planned projects of the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District include construction of the Diamond Regional Sewer Lift Station and converting the Sedco Hills and Avenues communities from septic systems to the EVMWD sewer system. If the additional wastewater is treated it can be used as recycled water, which makes those projects eligible for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s Water Reclamation Reuse Project Grant program. The October 1 EVMWD board meeting included a 3-0 vote, with Darcy Burke absent and one vacant seat, to adopt a resolution authorizing the filing of a Water Reclamation Reuse Project Grant application.
