The City of Menifee offers several opportunities for residents to actively participate in local governance by serving on various commissions and committees. These advisory bodies play a crucial role in shaping policies and programs that impact the community. As of November 2024, the following commissions and committees are available for interested individuals:
Planning Commission:Â Reviews development applications, zoning ordinances, and land use policies to guide the city’s growth and development.
Parks, Recreation, and Trails Commission: Advises on matters related to parks, recreational programs, and trail systems, ensuring the community’s recreational needs are met.
Senior Advisory Committee: Focuses on issues affecting senior citizens, providing recommendations to enhance services and programs for the elderly population.
Quality of Life Measure DD Oversight Committee: Monitors the allocation and expenditure of funds from the Quality of Life Measure ensuring they are used effectively to improve the quality of life in Menifee.
Menifee Citizens Advisory Committee (MCAC): Serves as an advisory body on policy matters pertaining to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and other community issues.
Veterans and Military Families Advisory Committee: Addresses the needs and concerns of veterans and their families, advising on programs and services to support them.
