SCE crews working to restore power in the Valley areas after record-breaking Santa Ana winds

Southern California Edison crews are struggling to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses in the Valley following the extended record breaking Santa Ana wind events during the last week.The Valley area most affected by the outages last week appeared to be in the East Hemet and Menifee Valley areas near the foothills where winds sometimes gusted to 70 to 80 mph.This week more high winds were expected and it is SCE’s intention to have all downed lines from the earlier storm to be up.SCE’s website reported on Jan. 10 to their customers they were aware of those who are or have experienced prolonged power outages and have experienced significant hardships.
