Hit-and-run injures bicyclist

MENIFEE – The Menifee Police Department responded to a hit-and-run collision involving a bicyclist being struck by a vehicle around 6:47 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23. When officers arrived, they found a 48-year-old adult male lying on the ground near the intersection of Menifee Rd and Triple Crown Rd, suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries to his arms and leg. Cal Fire and AMR responded and transported the male to a local hospital. Witnesses on scene did not observe the collision and only witnessed the bicyclist down in the roadway. The Menifee Police Department Traffic Unit arrived and assumed the investigation. The Road was shut down for several hours for the initial investigation of the scene.
