Valley organizations allocated $22,000 of CID funding

The Feb. 25 Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting included the allocation of $22,000 of Community Improvement Designation funding for Valley organizations.A 5-0 vote approved the allocations from the Third District budget of Supervisor Chuck Washington. The funding will provide $4,000 for the City of Temecula’s annual Special Games, $4,000 to the Menifee Union School District Education Foundation, $3,000 to Rock Your Red, $2,500 for the Rotary Club of Menifee, $2,500 to the Oak Grove Institute Foundation, $2,500 to Friends of Valley-Wide Foundation, $2,500 for California Family Life Center, and $1,000 to the San Jacinto-Hemet Valley chapter of Soroptimist International.Community Improvement Designation grants can be allocated to nonprofit organizations, public agencies, c
