New fossil exhibit opens at Western Science Center museum in Hemet

Exhibit ‘California to Down Under; Fossils of the Ediacaran’ Working in collaboration with University of California Riverside, the Western Science Center is presenting a new temporary exhibit, "California to Down Under; Fossils of the Ediacaran” in Hemet through Fall of this year.The Western Science Center museum, located at 2345 Searl Parkway in Hemet, opened the new exhibit to the public on March 15. It features the scientific research of students and faculty from the University of California Riverside’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences on the fossils.UCR Distinguished Professor of Geology Dr. Mary Droser and Droser Lab members have been studying Ediacaran fossils in South Australia, Nilpena Station, and will be showcasing their research in this new exhibit.
