MENIFEE — Two people were hospitalized early morning Saturday, April 26, following a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Newport Road and Lone Pine Drive, authorities said.The Menifee Police Department responded to the scene around 2:50 a.m. and found a heavily damaged Ford Focus with two occupants trapped inside, a 21-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old female passenger. Firefighters from Cal Fire used specialized equipment to extricate both individuals from the vehicle.Both were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver sustained major injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.
