

A fire was reported at 33370 Sunset Ave. in Menifee this afternoon, Saturday, July 26. Cal Fire was dispatched at 3:48 pm with five engines. After the original crew sized up the incident, they requested two additional engines and then three additional crews. Murrieta Fire was on the scene to help make quick work of a fire that had potential to burn structures and more acreage.
Fire crews held the burn area to about two acres with moderate to heavy fuels. There was a possible structure threat. The blaze was quickly extinguished, and crews will remain on the scene for at least four hours for mop-up.
