Murrieta’s Children’s Library expands into a new era of learning

One of Southwest Riverside County’s most beloved community spaces is about to get a major upgrade. The City of Murrieta has officially broken ground on a long-awaited 4,500-square-foot expansion of the Murrieta Public Library’s Children’s section, marking the start of a project that aims to transform how local families learn, read, and spend quality time together.Backed by a mix of state, city, and community funding, the $8 million expansion will nearly double the Children’s area to more than 7,200 square feet.
