The Anza Thimble Club hosted their seventh annual Coat Giveaway Saturday, Oct. 25. According to organizer Betsy Hansen, 500 coats, jackets, sweaters, hoodies and more were donated for the event.The clothing collection started in September and continued until Monday, Oct. 20. The gently used donated items were dispersed free of charge at the festive event. The goal of the drive is to provide area residents with free warm clothing in preparation for the coming winter months."The event was a huge success with only 50 adult coats left over.
