A rollover crash on southbound Interstate 15 near the Lilac Road Bridge early Thursday left one person unconscious and temporarily trapped inside a vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 5:21 a.m., prompting multiple emergency units to respond to the scene, including Cal Fire and San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies. Dispatch logs indicated that the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof.
CHP logs stated that the right two lanes were blocked as crews worked to free the occupant. The driver was described as unconscious but breathing when first responders arrived.
Adams Towing was requested to assist in clearing the scene, and lanes remained partially blocked during the rescue and cleanup efforts.
No immediate update was available on the victim’s condition or the cause of the crash.
