A small fire that broke out in a trash can at a bus stop in Hemet was quickly extinguished Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The Hemet Fire Department responded around 1:53 p.m. to the 3300 block of West Florida Avenue, according to dispatch information. Engine 3 from East Hemet arrived on scene and put out the flames within minutes.
No injuries or property damage were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
