Several years ago, I was on a radio talk show, and another panelist claimed that horse racing is a dying sport because the average age of horse racing spectators was 60. I countered that admission to horse racing tracks is affordable for a retired person on a fixed income.I was 60 during the 2024 Del Mar Thoroughbred Club fall meet.
