NCFPD reopens renovated Station 3 in Rainbow

The North County Fire Protection District’s Station 3 in Rainbow re‑opened November 3, and a dedication for the renovated station was held November 19. The fire service has a tradition of a hose decoupling rather than a ribbon cutting to dedicate a new fire station. The hose decoupling in front of the fire station was preceded by remarks in the apparatus bay. “It’s a good day for Rainbow. It’s a good day for the Fallbrook area,” said NCFPD fire chief Keith McReynolds. “I’m excited that we’ve completed this upgraded fire station,” said NCFPD board president Chris Shaw. “It’s going to shorten response times and lead to a more effective response, too. It’s important to fully support our first responders and do everything we can to help set them up for success.”
