A mother and father are still in the hospital after losing two daughters who were killed in an early morning mobile home fire Saturday, Dec. 20, according to distant family member Jessica Hales.

It has been reported that the mother has lost her eyesight and was transported to a burn center.

The father is still hospitalized with conditions unknown. The third person transported was 12-year-old Ashley Hales who has been released and is living with a family member. Ashley’s twin, 12-year-old Emma Hales died in the devastating fire. The other deceased daughter is 11-year-old Abigail Hales.

According to Jessica Hales, Stacey has faced devastation before. She lost her oldest son Brayden in a tragic car accident 3 yrs ago. Jessica had nothing but nice things to say about Stacey. “I just don’t know how she is going to get through this,” Jessica said.

According to Murrieta Fire & Rescue, crews were dispatched at 4:42 a.m. to the 41000 block of Knight Drive after a 911 call reporting a residential structure fire. Firefighters arrived to find a mobile home fully engulfed, along with a carport, three vehicles, two outbuildings and a large pine tree.

Fire crews immediately entered rescue mode, launching an aggressive fire attack while searching for trapped occupants. Due to rapidly deteriorating structural conditions, firefighters were forced to shift to a defensive operation. The fire was knocked down in approximately 45 minutes.

Five people were inside the residence at the time of the fire. Three occupants were accounted for and transported to a local hospital. Two occupants were found deceased inside the structure. Multiple household pets also died in the fire.

A joint investigation by Murrieta Fire & Rescue and the Murrieta Police Department is underway to determine the origin and cause of the blaze. Authorities said no information on the identities of the victims is being released at this time.

A GoFundMe has been set up by a friend of the family.  (Editorial Note: Not all the girls shown in some of the pictures on the GoFundMe page are girls who passed away. Their ages were 11 and 12-years-old.)

As of Monday afternoon, $58,779 has been raised. Discussion with family indicated that after they have more of an idea of future expenses, including replacing the cars, housing, hospital bills and home care, the GoFundMe will likely be increased.

Help Stacey Rebuild After Devastating Loss

She writes, “My name is Andrea Raikoglo, and I’m reaching out to everyone on behalf of my close friends who were in the fire in Murrieta today. She unfortunately lost her two daughters due to the fire, along with all her poor animals. Her name is Stacey Hales. She is currently in the hospital and doesn’t have any eyesight. All her belongings were destroyed along with her vehicle.  We are reaching out to please help them if you can she has nothing it would really mean a lot. She was renting the trailer she was staying in and had very little as it was. If we can please share and help this poor family, it really means a lot.”

This is a social media post from Jessica Hales who identifies as a relative. “Please help this family (my extended family)… they’ve suffered a horrible tragedy. They lost 2 of their children in a house fire; the mom and dad are in the hospital. The 12-year-old girl survived and is now with her uncle. I will be gathering donations to bring them. If you can help, please call or message me. There is also a GoFundMe, for the financial help they will need.
Now that the family’s names have gone public… it’s my sister-in-law Stacey Hales and her family. We lost her eldest child, Braden R Hales in a tragic car accident 3 yrs ago, and now Stacey has lost 2 of her 3 daughters. The pain is unimaginable. As of now, Stacey is severely injured and has lost her eyesight, among other burn injuries. She lost her kids, her pets, her home, her car, her everything. It is just heartbreaking. Please donate whatever you can.
