Lake Riverside Estates families were treated to a high-flying holiday surprise Saturday, Dec. 20, when Santa Claus arrived not by sleigh, but by airplane.Cheers erupted from the gathered crowd as the merry old elf touched down at the Lake Riverside airstrip, accompanied by Mrs. Claus and preceded by an aerial parade of aircraft circling overhead. After deplaning to excited applause, Santa greeted children one by one, listening closely to Christmas wishes and posing for photos with eager families.The festive event was organized by the Lake Riverside Estates Pilot’s Association and brought together residents for an afternoon of holiday cheer.
