Galway Downs announces full slate of events for 2026 season

TEMECULA — Galway Downs, Southern California’s premier equestrian and events venue, is set to welcome athletes, spectators and families for an exciting lineup of world-class competitions and entertainment throughout 2026. From elite equestrian sport to nationally recognized canine championships and spectacular live performances, the upcoming season promises something for everyone.

The year kicks off March 16–22 with the American Kennel Club National Agility Championships, bringing the nation’s top agility dogs and handlers to Temecula for a week of fast-paced, high-energy competition. The event showcases the incredible athleticism and teamwork that continue to make agility one of the fastest-growing dog sports in the country.

Equestrian sport takes center stage March 27–29 with the Galway Downs International Horse Trials, featuring national to international-level competition in the Olympic discipline of Three-Day Eventing. Riders and horses will compete across dressage, cross-country and show jumping in one of the West Coast’s most anticipated events. General admission is free, with VIP opportunities available.

In April, Galway Downs will host the Vizsla Club of America National Specialty Events Championship from April 6–10, welcoming Vizsla enthusiasts from across the country, followed by the Temecula Valley National Hunter/Jumper Shows from April 15–26. These national-level competitions highlight elite riders in Olympic show jumping, with Grand Prix events taking place on Saturday afternoons and evenings. Admission is free, with VIP options offered.

The Hunter/Jumper series returns May 20 through June 7 for another round of top-tier competition, continuing Galway Downs’ tradition of showcasing premier equestrian sport in a beautiful, accessible setting.

Dressage fans can look forward to the Pacific Coast Cheers to Summer Dressage Shows June 12–14, a national-level competition that includes the California Dressage Society Junior & Young Rider Championships and Regional Adult Amateur Championships. The event offers free general admission for spectators eager to experience the elegance and precision of dressage.

The action resumes September 30 through October 18 with the final installment of the Temecula Valley National Hunter/Jumper Shows, again featuring Grand Prix competition and opportunities for spectators to enjoy the sport up close.

October also brings the return of Cirque Ma’Ceo, a stunning European-style equestrian theater performance blending acrobatics, music and breathtaking horsemanship. Tentative performances are scheduled for October 16–18 and October 23–25, with ticket information to be announced.

The season concludes October 28 through November 1 with The Eventing Championships at Galway Downs, offering national to international-level Three-Day Eventing competition and a thrilling finale to the year. General admission is free, with VIP experiences available.
