Hemet Heritage Foundation to host talk on city’s economic evolution

The Hemet Heritage Foundation and Hemet Museum will host a presentation titled “Hemet Economic Development Through the Decades” on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at the historic Hemet Historic Theatre, located at 216 E. Florida Ave., with the program running from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and doors opening at 6 p.m. The free community event will feature Benigno Sandoval, economic development director for the City of Hemet, who will discuss how the city has evolved from its agricultural roots into a diverse suburban community with a growing economic base. Sandoval will highlight key milestones in Hemet’s development and share insights into current initiatives aimed at revitalizing downtown and attracting new investment.
