Supervisors establish speed limits for Berenda Road, Pat Road, and Stoneman Street

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors established radar-enforceable speed limits for Berenda Road in unincorporated Temecula, Pat Road in Winchester, and Stoneman Street in Lakeland Village.A 5-0 vote on January 27 set a public hearing for the speed zones. The hearing was set for February 3, when the county supervisors voted 5-0 to adopt the speed limits. Berenda Road and Stoneman Street will have 35 mph speed limits, while the Pat Road speed limit will be 45 mph.None of the road segments addressed in the January 27 and February 3 actions previously had posted speed limits (other than a Desert Hot Springs road whose speed limit was reduced), although by state law the maximum speed for a two-lane road is 55 mph.
