The Rancho California Water District board approved an agreement with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation which will provide funding for arsenic treatment at Well 240.The 6-0 vote February 12, with Carol Lee Gonzales-Brady absent, adopts a resolution authorizing the grant agreement for the design of the arsenic treatment. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will provide a $400,000 grant while Rancho Water will provide a $450,000 match including in-kind contributions.Rancho Water owns and operates 43 active groundwater production wells with a combined annual production of approximately 30,000 acre-feet of potable water.
