The Rancho California Water District board approved an agreement with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation which will provide funding for arsenic treatment at Well 240.The 6-0 vote February 12, with Carol Lee Gonzales-Brady absent, adopts a resolution authorizing the grant agreement for the design of the arsenic treatment. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will provide a $400,000 grant while Rancho Water will provide a $450,000 match including in-kind contributions.Rancho Water owns and operates 43 active groundwater production wells with a combined annual production of approximately 30,000 acre-feet of potable water. Well 240 is in the 40400 block of Promenade Way in Temecula and was constructed in 2017. That well pumps water from the San Gertrudis Hydrologic Subunit to potable water custo
