Easter comes alive: Sacred Heart Catholic Church presents Passion Play April 4

Anza’s Sacred Heart Catholic Church will host a live Easter Passion play - Stations of the Cross for the church’s parishioners, visitors and friends on Holy Saturday, April 4, starting at 12 noon. The performance will reenact the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, played by role players from Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Desert Hot Springs.A Passion play is a dramatic presentation depicting the Passion of Jesus Christ, including his trial, suffering and crucifixion. The tradition originated in Europe during the Middle Ages as a way to teach Christian beliefs to the public.
